After the last press conference, the regulations around Covid-19 have gotten much stricter. At Aqua we can also feel the consequences of these new regulations.

After taking some time to think, discuss and consulting other organisations the board has come up with a new protocol. Please read this carefully. The new protocol will continue to be your guide as long as these regulations count. Once things change again we will send out a new covid-19 statement.

The most important question was, can we still sail? Luckily we have good news regarding sailing. It is allowed to have one on one training! Do keep in mind that you need to keep your 1,5m distance also during sailing activities. Inside the water scouting, you must wear a mask. Use this while getting your sailing gear. Outside it is not mandatory to wear a mask. Once you finish sailing, please leave the water scouting as quickly as possible. We don't want anyone to linger there.

Since the winter season is coming, you might ask yourself how we are going to do the maintenance. We got permission from the water scouting to do mandatory maintenance with max 4 people at a time. Thus the maintenance will continue under the current regulations. If there are any changes regarding this we will let you know.

We still had some real-life activities planned, e.g. the wrik-matches and the canoe tour. These are hereby cancelled. Besides the one on one sailing training and the maintenance, all activities will be online.

The rules are as follows:

  • On the shore, always keep 1,5 m distance from everyone.
  • During sailing, also keep 1.5 m distance.
  • Sailing is not allowed with more than 2 people per boat (for both valk and lelievlet)
  • Shouting or loud singing is not allowed in groups.
  • Follow the walking routes when going through the building.
  • Wear a mask when you are inside the building.
  • Do not linger at the Water Scouting after you are finished sailing, go home as quickly as possible.
  • All committee meetings will be held online.
  • If you answer yes, to any of these questions, we ask you to stay home:
    • Do you have any of the covid19 symptoms? (couching, a cold, a fever above 38 degrees, trouble breathing)
    • Do you have a housemate with a fever or trouble breathing?
    • Where you tested positive for the coronavirus?
    • Do you have a housemate that tested positive for the coronavirus and have you been in contact with them in the past 14 days?
    • Should you be in self-isolation because you have been in contact with someone that has been tested positive for the coronavirus?

If you have any questions about the corona rules or you have some suggestions, please e-mail us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Lots of love,
